The county has put together an excellent resource for families. It includes sample daily schedules, learning links by grade level, and other recommended resources. Make sure to check it out!

Scholastic is offering free resources at this time.  Choose your child's grade level to find interesting topics (fiction and nonfiction) for your child to read.  Make sure you check this one out as the topics are of high interest!

Fountas and Pinnell Daily Remote Learning Tip
Check out this link for a daily remote learning tip. Ideas are shared for authentic literacy experiences at home.

Unite for Literacy
Unite for Literacy offers free digital access to picture books, narrated in many languages.

Starfall is a great website for beginning readers.  It contains math games as well.

Flyleaf Publishing
Access decodable books for students based upon phonetic features.

VDOE Comprehensive Literacy Instructional Plans

Into the Book is a reading comprehension resource for elementary students and teachers. It includes videos and practice activities organized by comprehension strategy.

Children's author Ken Nesbitt provides a wealth of poetry resources for kids. Here you will find a variety of poems, lessons, activities, and more.
