Alvey Elementary School recognizes students on their birthdays with a special birthday announcement. Students are invited to visit the front office to receive a birthday pencil and sticker.
If your child would like to do something special with their class to celebrate their birthday, they may choose one of the following options:
Enjoy 10 extra minutes of recess. The teacher will select the date and time as appropriate.
Donate an indoor or outdoor recess game to their class.
Donate a book to the class library in their name and have it read to the class.
Bring in a non-food class treat for students to take home, such as pencils, temporary tattoos, stickers, rubber bracelets, erasers, or Play-Doh.
Healthy Celebrations
Alvey Elementary School is going healthy in support of the PWCS Wellness Regulation. Please do not send in cupcakes or other sugary treats for your child's class.
Families are welcome to bring in a special lunch and/or treat for their own child to enjoy during lunchtime.
