Elementary school counselors support students' academic, social, and emotional growth. They work with students, families, teachers, and staff to help every child feel supported, succeed in school, and prepare for the future.

Mrs. Maresh is a proud Virginia native who grew up attending Prince William County schools. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from George Mason University and her Master of Science in Counseling from California State University, Long Beach. She enjoys being creative whenever possible; she thoroughly enjoys teaching leadership to K-5th grade students. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys.

Help students develop positive learning habits, build organization skills, and overcome challenges that may affect learning.
Support students as they build friendships, manage emotions, solve problems, and develop healthy relationships.
Partner with families to address student needs and connect them with school and community resources.
Help students successfully transition into elementary school and prepare for middle school.
